Sound Experiments

We have been learning about sounds. This is what we have found out :
1. Sound is made when an object vibrates
2. Sound travels in waves
3. Sound can be loud or quiet, high or low (pitch)
4. Sound can move through gases, liquids and solids
5. Sound can bounce (echo)
The children were tasked with designing experiments to prove a property of sound. We then carried out these experiments to test if they work. We could not prove the one about echo as Mia designed an experiment that would require us to stand on a mountain and shout at the top of our voices. We will perhaps test that out on one of our field trips.
