What art thou, 3D shape?

We have been learning the names of 3D shapes and using mathematical vocabulary to talk about them. We understand that vertex is the corner of a 3D shape, the edge is where the flat surfaces meet, the base can tell us about the type of 3D shape and the faces are the flat parts. We wonder if a curved surface is also a face... our investigation continues...
