Maths and Art Link
Inspired by the book "The Art of Cleaning Up", we started looking at materials we have in class and talked about different ways of sorting. We had quite a bagful of stones and beads that were all jumbled up, so this was a good chance to get the children to help with the organising and sorting.
Art - Patterning and creating ephemeral art with natural materials
Maths - Sorting according to attributes. We are learning pre-graphing skills. In our next lesson, we will work on creating different types of graphs.
We made beautiful mandalas using the materials.
