Showing Motion in Drawing

We looked at how artists can show movement in a 2D drawing. The children suggested that they could use different types of lines around their drawings to show movement.

We then looked at how we can show movement in the human form. We arranged the wooden mannequins into different poses and drew the figures. We did it the first time independently. Then, the teacher did a focussed lesson showing us how to draw the different parts. We drew our figures a second time after coaching and were much better with the proportions.
